Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro Review

Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro Review

Today we would like to introduce you to the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro from Anker, or rather: testing! The True Wireless headphones should convince a high-class sound, which several professionals from the music industry have confirmed. One reason for this is an individual adaptation to your hearing. You can read more about the Liberty 2 Pro in the following review. Are you looking to test the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro? Right, this way.

PROS:

  • Sound quality is excellent.
  • Bluetooth 5 USB-C charging HearID app
  • Exceptional battery life
  • Reasonably priced
  • Design that is pleasant to the eye
  • AptX compatibility

CONS:

  • When using Bluetooth, each earphone may not always link together.
  • When the device is removed, the music is automatically paused.
  • There is no active noise canceling.
  • The charging case is a little on the large side.
  • You won’t be able to adjust the EQ levels on your own.

True wireless headphones have the great advantage that they work completely without cables compared to alternatives. This is particularly noticeable when you move around a lot, do sports, or lie awkwardly in bed. The disadvantage of TW headphones is that the playback quality is not that good, or the Bluetooth connection between the two headphones is not completely stable, and the music is played asynchronously. However, with its sub-brand Soundcore, Anker delivers one top model after the other – the Liberty 2 Pro is currently crowning this selection.

Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro – scope of delivery and first impression

Unpacking the Liberty 2 Pro is again a new experience for us. The structure of the original packaging and the contents of the packaging comes very close to the Soundcore Liberty Air and Zolo Liberty, which we also tested. In the scope of delivery, we find the headphones themselves, of course, including the charging station, as well as a USB-C charging cable – we already like the latest USB-C standard! Furthermore, with its Soundcore headphones, Anker also thinks of the different ears of its customers and includes the most varied sizes of ear tips and EarWings. All are made of velvety soft liquid silicone.

Before we gave ourselves up to the first listening pleasure, we wanted to try out the EarTips and EarWings to find the sizes that best fit our ear canal. Inserting the TW headphones is very simple: you just put the two headphones in both ears and turn them back so that the oval headphone ends are at an angle to the back of your ear. This rotation ensures that the EarTips get even better and deeper into the ear canal and that the EarWings hold the headphones firmly in the ear.

High-quality charging case and USB-C charging option – we like it!

The charging case is not opened up, but the lid is pushed back with the thumb. In this way, both headphones are exposed and can be removed from the charging cradle. All in all, we already get a very high-quality haptic experience here, and we could start raving about it right away because we know of significantly inferior quality from the competition. Nothing rattles here, and everything is simple and intuitive. You even catch yourself playing with the charging cradle while listening to music.

After we already know the trick of inserting the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro and the appropriate EarTips and Wings have been put on, they are quickly ready for use. Each headphone has exactly one button with which you can either adjust the volume or change the music tracks with the same. Alternatively, you can also activate the voice assistant – everything can be customized in the Soundcore app. Speaking of individualization: This is where the Soundcore app comes into play even more. More on that now!

Soundcore app and hearing adjustment!

With the Soundcore app, the Liberty 2 Pro is quickly recognized. While the user now has a few control settings and some ready-made sound profiles, you can also create your profile – the whole thing is called HearID by Anker. We tried it out right away and went through the little hearing test for each ear. As a result, you practically always confirm to the app when you can still hear a tone and when you can no longer hear it. In addition, the app recognizes the weaknesses of the hearing in the respective frequency and adjusts the volume and intensity there for the user.

The Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro sounds good! The manufacturer has installed really good hardware in its latest flagship. So not only very good and finely resolved drivers are used, but also powerful batteries. A headphone lasts a full 8 hours – the charging case can charge another three full charges. This gives you a total of 32 hours of listening pleasure. We have also tested this point for you and noted down all listening times. Overall, we made it to 30.5 hours. Not bad!

Comfort comes first

A variety of ear tips and EarWings in different sizes, as well as velvety liquid silicone, ensure even more comfort when wearing. Even after longer sessions, we did not have any complaints or pressure points in the test.

Bluetooth 5.0

A stable, distortion-free connection up to 15 meters away. So the cell phone can stay in the living room, and you can still hear your music in the toilet.

The Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro offers state-of-the-art CVC 8. 0 noise suppression thanks to 4 built-in microphones. In this way, phone calls are transmitted crystal clear, and the other person always understands you well. But what is the most important thing about headphones of this type? Of course, the sound. We would now like to go into this in more detail.

This is what the Liberty 2 Pro sounds like – a daily companion.

The 11mm audio driver enables even richer and more intense bass. No monotonous hum in the same frequency, but finely resolved rich and crisp bass. This is what headphones should sound like. The heights are also detailed. The tailor-made, three-dimensional Knowles audio driver delivers fantastic clarity – all instruments are audible, just as the artist would like to convey with his music. For us, the Liberty 2 Pro is already the best true wireless headphones currently on the market, for this price – just under 150 euros.

The Liberty 2 Pro convinced us in every way. Not only the long battery life, the clear phone quality, and the practical charging case, but also the incredibly detailed and powerful sound make the TW headphones from Anker a real flagship, not only at Anker but on the entire market!
