JBL Partybox 310 Review

The JBL tower has earned the name “Partybox” – with colorful lights, it also creates a visual atmosphere, and with a battery life of almost 26 hours, it also provides sound for long parties. The Partybox 310 is also suitable for karaoke parties, thanks to its lavish equipment.

Wheels ensure easy transport; raindrops and water splashes are no problem for the robust plastic housing. But the large speaker needs space from a short distance, the sound is rather dull, but from a distance of three meters, it is fine. The rich basses are a force anyway.

It’s finally summer, and the temperatures are rising. So naturally, this invites you to a barbecue in the garden or parties on the beach. At least as far as Corona allows. But, of course, you need the right music for the celebrations.

In the best case, it shouldn’t croak softly from the mobile phone but should please the ears with pressure and volume. AS THE NAME SAYS, the JBL Partybox 310 is made for exactly that. The test reveals whether the Bluetooth speaker is a welcome guest at every party.

PROS:

  • Very good facilities
  • USB- charging socket
  • Very long battery life (25 hours 58 minutes)

CONS:

  • A bit quiet in the middle
  • Very difficult
  • Splashproof only

Here the party starts- JBL Partybox 310

The JBL Partybox 310 is a tidy chunk; the 33x69x37 centimeters (HxWxD) tower weighs a full 17 kilograms. To ensure that transport does not degenerate into strength training, the JBL is equipped with wheels and a carrying handle.

Therefore, it can be pulled to the desired destination like a small trolley case – practical. Several LEDs on the front want to create the perfect party atmosphere with color and flashing effects. All the important buttons for volume and playback are easily accessible on the top.

However, the music fan shouldn’t be confused by the buttons for adjusting the sound; the buttons are only for the karaoke department. In addition, two microphones can be connected to the box, the sound of which can be adjusted with the buttons.

Prepared for every celebration

JBL has generally not been stingy with the equipment. In addition to the two microphone connections (6.3 mm jack sockets), there is a stereo input (3.5 mm jack), and an input and output labeled Daisy Chain on the back.

This allows several loudspeakers to be linked together to fill large rooms and areas with sound, the connections loop through the audio signal for this purpose. The USB socket on the back of the Partybox 310 charges smartphones and other mobile devices and even plays music from memory sticks. The numerous connections of the Partybox 310 are hidden behind a flap.

JBL lasts a long time

The Partybox 310 not only wants to party for a long time, but it can do it too. It lasts longer than any guest, with a battery life of 25 hours and 58 minutes. The JBL loudspeaker does not survive a dive into the bathing lake or pool. The protection level IPX4 (protection against splashing water from all sides) is safe from beer splashes and a light rain shower. Perfect for outdoor parties: The Partybox 310 reached a maximum volume of 100 decibels in the test.

Distance yourself

The Partybox 310 needs a little more space, not just because of its size. To unfold its full sound, the party guests should be at least three meters away from the box. Otherwise, only musty tones will come across to the partying crowd. However, the party tower sounds nice and powerful with the right distance. The bass has a lot of power, which can be increased with the bass boost button on the top. This is particularly useful in larger rooms and the park or the garden.

On the other hand, the mids could have been a little more. The highs also have good substance. However, due to the tightly focused radiation, the music fan should not stand too far to the side of the box. For a wide stereo sound, the JBL speaker can be paired wirelessly with a twin – great.

Conclusion

The JBL tower has earned the name “Partybox” – with colorful lights, it also creates a visual atmosphere, and with a battery life of almost 26 hours, it also provides sound for long parties. The Partybox 310 is also suitable for karaoke parties, thanks to its lavish equipment. Wheels ensure easy transport; raindrops and water splashes are no problem for the robust plastic housing.
